...being a good, conservative driver trying to get great MPG, and then Blur’s Song 2 comes on, and I start driving like this:
Anyone else ever have that problem? Because, yeah, I probably shouldn’t listen to that song while driving anymore.

I was driving once, and “Are You Gonna Be My Girl?” by Jet came on. I was on an on-ramp, the guitar bit hit, my foot hit the floor, and many smiles were had.

During the run down to Chicago when I was listening to Super Eurobeat and chasing a Camry through traffic I returned the worst average MPG for a tank in the Bonneville - 20.45mpg. Normally I get 27.

I was timing my launches to the song. Was quite nice. Halfway through the (short) song, I took traction control off.

This song basically ruined my MPG target of 16.5 (almost completely stop and go from work to home and back). However, I made it home quicker.
Another song that jacks my fuel efficiency up: Are You Gonna Go My Way.

I could be listening to this on the highway and the left laners still go faster than me (but I am always going faster than the right laners).

I may’ve gotten a bit sideways on my favorite local road when it last came on. I’m supposed to set a good example though. For the youth!

Meh, the youth don't listen. Us Olds should do whatever the hell we want. The whippersnappers will be too concerned with twatting with their friends in their Priuses to get sideways to a song.

yes.
trying to beat the AVG for the SV (60mpg At that time) was going pretty good. then paper wings by rise against came on.
next thing I know, i’m in the twistys near my house with the motor turning like 10K rpm.
I didnt beat my 60mpg AVG that day.

Yeah, I beat the Waze trip estimate by over 30 minutes. Did you know that the fuel cutoff on a naturally aspirated GM H-body is right around 110?
I did quite enjoy that song in one of the two PS2 Gran Turismo games. Probably GT3 A-Spec.

It comes on time to time on my radio in my e39 m5. I instantly turn traction off, sport mode on and hoon if no one is around.

Last time I listened to that.. I decided to speed up to 200 km/h on the highway in a minivan... Carrying car parts.

The one time I was inspired by music like this, I did 15 miles in 10 minutes... On back country roads. I was sideways a couple of times, heal-toed like a motherfucker... Awww yisss.

When the song originally came out, I had a 1996 Chevy Silverado with a Vortec 350. The governor on that vehicle is at 100, and I would regularly bounce it off that point on a certain stretch of highway that shall remain nameless to this song.

My only regret is that my CTS doesn't have a hand e-brake.

Almost anything by Offspring.
The V8 BMW would get downshifted whenever they were on the air.

The real danger is the ability to keep hitting “Repeat” on my radio (will work with XM too, amazingly).

Seeing that vid reminded me that I am still a little bummed out that Clive Owen never got the opportunity to play 007.

Yeah, I guess he aged out of the opportunity, huh? At least Idris might get his shot.

If Franz Ferdinand’s Take Me Out comes on the radio or my playlist, the e38 will go an off/on ramp with excessive body roll. Never intended to do that, but that land yacht can dance.

I think poor Idris might age out as well. I think Craig’s current contract would not be up until Elba is about 47-48. At least he’ll have Bastille Day.

There should really be a rule on Oppo that all BMW Films and old Porsche commercials are banned after 10:30pm EST. Here I was, planning to sleep tonight, and now I’m watching Hostage at 1:30 in the morning....

If I had a hand e-brake, I could do the full effect, but everything else I’ve done before.
He drifted the turns too much, though.

I mean there are songs where I get more aggressive and start going faster not realizing it, then enjoying it, But hot damn I need to learn how to drive like that.
